305.2 Psychophysiologic respiratory disorder<br />
This diagnosis applies to respiratory disorders such as bronchial<br />
asthma, hyperventilation syndromes, sighing, and hiccoughs in which<br />
emotional factors play a causative role.<br />
305.3 Psychophysiologic cardiovascular disorder<br />
This diagnosis applies to cardiovascular disorders such as paroxysmal<br />
tachycardia, hypertension, vascular spasms, and migraine in which<br />
emotional factors play a causative role.<br />
305.4 Psychophysiologic hemic and lymphatic disorder<br />
Here may be included any disturbances in the hemic and lymphatic<br />
system in which emotional factors are found to play a causative<br />
role. ICD-8 has included this category so that all organ systems will<br />
be covered.<br />
305.5 Psychophysiologic gastro-intestinal disorder<br />
This diagnosis applies to specific types of gastrointestinal disorders<br />
such as peptic ulcer, chronic gastritis, ulcerative or mucous colitis,<br />
constipation, hyperacidity, pylorospasm, "heartburn," and "irritable<br />
colon " in which emotional factors play a causative role.<br />
305.6 Psychophysiologic genito-urinary disorder<br />
This diagnosis applies to genito-urinary disorders such as disturbances<br />
in menstruation and micturition, dyspareunia, and impotence in<br />
which emotional factors play a causative role.<br />
305.7 Psychophysiologic endocrine disorder<br />
This diagnosis applies to endocrine disorders in which emotional<br />
factors play a causative role. The disturbance should be specified.<br />
305.8 Psychophysiologic disorder of organ of special sense<br />
This diagnosis applies to any disturbance in the organs of special<br />
sense in which emotional factors play a causative role. Conversion<br />
reactions are excluded.<br />
