A species <strong>of</strong> (usually) calcareous ditches, drains, canals and rivers. In 2010 it was found<br />
frequently in <strong>the</strong> wash-up zone along <strong>the</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>rn edge <strong>of</strong> a flooded gravel pit at<br />
Godmanchester. It can tolerate some eutrophication (Preston, 1995) but is still vulnerable to<br />
declining water quality.<br />
