QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS for the BSPA World Championships of<br />
Colour National Champion of Champions<br />
1. SHOW SECRETARIES<br />
1. Qualifier - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd will qualify automatically in all classes unless otherwise agreed.<br />
Not affected by numbers forward.<br />
2. County/Agricultural Shows - may award additional qualifiers according to numbers<br />
entered/forward. Classes of 10-12 qualify to 4th place <strong>and</strong> classes over 10 qualify 1st-6th.<br />
3. Additional qualifiers - are required for the highest placed Traditional/Native, Cob/Vanner<br />
or heavyweight or Youngstock as appropriate <strong>and</strong> Ponies (in combined/open classes). As<br />
confirmed in Affiliation Pack data.<br />
4a.Qualification cards - Must be produced in the ring <strong>and</strong> signed in the ring by the judge.<br />
Show secretaries are particularly asked to make their stewards aware of this rule. ALL<br />
Riders.h<strong>and</strong>lers are required to carry these into the ring otherwise qualification becomes<br />
invalid.<br />
4b.Membership cards must be carried at all times <strong>and</strong> may be required to be produced.<br />
5. The result sheets - supplied with the rosettes should be properly completed <strong>and</strong> returned<br />
to the Association at the end of the show together with any surplus rosettes.<br />
6. Rules - Classes will be judged within the rules of the BSPA. See pages 8–12 incl.<br />
7. Required Schedule Wording <strong>Skewbald</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Piebald</strong> - refer FORMS BSPA SL2 <strong>and</strong> BSPA<br />
SL5 for correct wording.<br />
8. Broodmares - Broodmares are so classified when they are either certified in foal, +<br />
covering certificates supplied, or are shown with their foal at foot. Barren signifies that they<br />
have had a foal(s) but are empty (not in foal) for the show season. No mare can enter a<br />
broodmare class unless the above applies.<br />
9. Broodmares - may not be shown in any ridden classes. Foals must be four weeks old or<br />
above to attend a show.<br />
10. These rules apply to all qualifying classes in the UK <strong>and</strong> Eire.<br />
11. Public Liability - Individual members <strong>and</strong> organisers of Affiliated Shows MUST HAVE<br />
Public Liability Insurance.<br />
12. Schedules must be sent for proof reading.<br />
13. All pre-entries for RIHS must be sent to BSPA for checking 14 days before show.<br />
2. COMPETITORS<br />
1. Qualification cards - These must be signed in the ring by the judge for Qualification to be<br />
valid.<br />
