JOURNEY PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
70 Series
FRAME CONSTRUCTION
N70MM, N70PP models
• Frames are assembled of exterior beech with joints constructed of dowels and mortise & tenons
that are securely glued for maximum joint stability
• Corner blocks are screwed and glued into all four corners of the frame
SEAT AND BACK CONSTRUCTION
N70AAC, N70BBC, N70CCC, N70DDC models
• Solid molded plywood panels covered with 3" of custom molded, controlled density polyurethane
foam on the seat and back, 4" in the lumbar region
N70MM, N70PP models
•1 ½" of high grade polyurethane foam covers a plywood panel with high tension strip webbing
on the seat for comfort
•1 ½" of high grade polyurethane foam covers a molded contour plywood back for support and comfort
LUMBAR
• Standard in all desk models, features an adjustable lumbar mechanism that adjusts horizontally
• Enhances individual’s seating comfort and location of lumbar adjustment knob is located on user’s
right side and positioned for ease of use
CONTROL MECHANISM
• Synchronous control allows the back and seat to move in a synchronized 2:1 ratio motion
• Unique free float feature allows chair to tilt freely
• A tension knob adjusts the back tension to meet individual needs
• The back can be locked into 6 positions
• The seat angle can be locked into 3 positions
OPTIONAL SEATSLIDE
• Seat depth can be adjusted to 6 different positions within a 2 ¼" range
LIFT
• Standard pneumatic gas cylinder lift allows seat to raise and lower 3 ½" and provides spring action
for added comfort
• Finger grip lever adjustment is quick and easy
BASE AND CASTERS
• Wood base features a standard five-prong, rigid steel understructure to ensure a long life
• Decorative hardwood caps complement the chair design
• Caster posts fit directly into steel sleeves, greatly reducing caster socket failure
• Black, hard double wheel casters, which work on multiple surfaces, are standard
• Black, soft double wheel casters are available for use on hard floors; upcharge applies to this option
• All National bases are tested to BIFMA standards using 2500 lb. force
JURY BASE
• Pneumatic jury base
FINISH
• Features a catalyzed top coat that resists denting, peeling and reactions to chemicals
• Can be cleaned with a damp cloth
• When specifying Natural finish, variation in color is acceptable due to the nature of beech wood characteristics
• Features our silver ion antimicrobial finish which inhibits the growth of bacteria and microbes
