National chairs offer various levels of adjustability. The diagrams below help
you to easily understand the many options available so you can select a
chair that best fit your needs.
Adjustability Features
A Pneumatic Height Adjustment: Allows the user to adjust the chair
height quickly and easily.
B Back Height Adjustment: Allows the user to position lumbar support
for desired comfort.
C Seat Angle Adjustment: Allows the user to position and lock the seat
angle.
D Seat Depth Adjustment (Seatslide): Allows the user to move the seat
forward and back.
E Tilt Tension: Allows the user to control the amount of recline resistance.
F Tilt Lock: Allows the user to lock the back in upright position or release
it to recline.

G Swivel Mechanism: Chair swivels 360° only. Chair does not recline.
H Swivel Tilt Mechanism: Chair swivels 360° and back and seat recline
simultaneously.
I Knee Tilt Mechanism: Chair swivels 360° and back and seat recline
simultaneously. The pivot point is forward allowing user’s feet to remain
planted on the floor when reclining.
J Synchro-tilt Mechanism: Chair swivels 360° and allows the back and
seat to move in a synchronized 2.3:1 ratio motion.
Arm Options
K Fixed Arm
L Adjustable Arms: Arms can be adjusted in height and width to best fit
the user.
M Fully Adjustable Arms: Same adjustability as adjustable arms and also
allows the arm pad to rotate.
N High Performance Arms: Same adjustability as adjustable and fully
adjustable arms but also has depth and width adjustment on the
arm pad.
