When Reinsman and I sat down to design this saddle for mounted
shooters – I had three requirements: 1. It had to fit the horse,
2. I wanted it to put mounted shooters in the proper position, and
3. I wanted the horn to be short and out of the way. What we
ended up with was all of those things, and much more.

Rock Clark’s Design Philosophy: I designed this saddle for all levels of mounted shooters. It has a classic western look,
but it puts the rider into the correct position for shooting as soon as you sit in it. When we shoot – we’re trying to do a lot of
things at once, and I wanted a saddle that beginning shooters could feel secure in, and top shooters would just love to ride. No
more fighting your saddle to keep your feet forward, secure enough that you can focus on your shooting and not have to worry
about your body position – because this saddle helps hold you there – and it just feels natural. The short, forward angled horn
minimizes the likelihood of getting your gun leather caught or revolver knocked out from the tall horns we have always been
forced to deal with. And to top it all off – this is just a good looking functional saddle. If we want to give the horses a break and
hit the trail, or I want to start training on a new horse – it works just as well for that as for mounted shooting.
