ON THE COVER
The 2008 Concordia University Football Media
Guide cover was designed by Josh Deer. The
front and back covers were designed to commemorate
Concordia’s ten year anniversary of
NCAA Division II athletics and membership in
the Northern Sun. Student-athletes featured
are seniors Tyrone Ruffin (left) and Duy
Huynh (right).
This media guide was created by the Concordia
University Sports Information Department.
TO THE MEDIA

SID, are your hosts. They can be
reached during the week at (651) 641-8893
or you can e-mail them at jdeer@csp.edu or
wolf@csp.edu. If you need space in the
press box to cover a game, please contact
the SID office in advance of the game. The
fax number is (651) 641-8767.
Credentials: Regular NSIC and Concordia
media credentials will be accepted. The
press box will be open 90 minutes prior to
game time.
Will Call: Passes and tickets can be left at
the Will Call desk at Griffin Stadium. Griffin
Stadium will open 90 minutes before game
time.
Parking: Parking is available in the main
parking lot next to Central High School and
alongside Griffin Stadium on Concordia Ave.
There is no charge for parking.
Statistics: Concordia will supply quickie statistics
at halftime and immediately after the
game. Final statistics will be printed in the
SID office approximately 20 minutes after
the conclusion of a game. Media members
wishing a copy of final stats faxed to them
should contact the SID office in advance of
the game needed.
Radio line access: Please contact the SID
office at least a week in advance of the
game to make visiting radio accomodations.
Press box phone: A phone will be available
to update interested parties on games
as they are in progress. Please contact the
SID office to get further information.
cugoldenbears.com: Visit Concordia’s
new home on the web for the most up to
date news, scores and stats on Golden Bear
athletics.
In-Game Coverage: Concordia athletics is
proud to offer in-game coverage of all home
and away games. All games can be viewed
live on the web free of charge through the
NSIC’s partnership with Penn Atlantic. An
audio-only stream is offered at home and
on the road courtesty of Stretch Internet.
Concordia also offers Live Stats on the web
for all home games.

Photographers: Passes are required
to shoot from the sidelines. For safety
purposes, however, the NCAA asks that
photographers and other members remain
at least 12 feet outside the sidelines and six
feet outside the team and coaches’ area.
Please contact the SID office for photography
passes.
Coaches/Players Access: Mark Mauer,
head football coach, is available at (651)
603-6181. He is generally in his office from
9 a.m.-noon daily. Should you wish to talk to
a player, please contact the SID office and
they will help make arrangements. Players
and coaches will be available to the media
10 minutes after the conclusion of a game.
Sports Information Office: The Concordia
SID office is located on the second floor
(Office 214) in the Fandrei Center. Final
game stats will be available at the SID office
approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion
of a game.
Weekly Releases: A press release with
stats, records and other noteworthy in-season
information is produced on a weekly
basis. They will be emailed to concerned
media and posted online for fan viewing.
Ticket Information: The Concordia athletic
department does not have a ticket office.
There is no advance sale of tickets -
ticket sales begin one hour prior to game
time. Ticket prices for football, men’s and
women’s basketball and volleyball are $8 for
adults, $5 for visiting students and senior citizens.
Children under ten, Concordia facutly/staff/students
are free with CU ID.
