Wrestling Coaches Associations
National High School
Wrestling Congress
By Cliff Revelle, President
A meeting of the N.H.S.W.C. was
held at 7:45 p.m. at the Holiday Inn,
Ames, Iowa. Nearly 40 coaches were
present. Committee Reports were
heard and discussed. Dave Abrahams'
report was given by Dennis Hastert.
Dave has attempted five exchanges
this past year. All of them were turned
down because of F.I.L.A. in the other
country.
Dennis Hastert reported that sev-
eral states were now conducting inter-
state exchanges.
It was recommended that an infor-
mation file be set up for domestic ex-
changes by this organization, so that
any state would have access to pro-
cedures, schedules, etc., for conducting
inter-state competition. Dennis is to
meet with Dick Sheaffer of the N.F.S.
H.S.A.A., to see if they can work out
a plan.
Dallas Yost of Hawthorne, Calif.,
submitted an outline for rating officials
for state, regional, and national com-
petition. This is to be taken under
advisement and acted upon in July at
our next meeting.
Bob Triano has some limited infor-
mation for tournaments but it wasn't
available for this meeting.
Don Huff commented upon weight
classes for both freestyle and high
schools. It was his committees' feelings
that any weight class changes merely
solved an isolated problem. It was also
their feelings that the present weight
classes are probably as nearly satis-
factory as we could set up at this time.
However, in discussing Don's report,
most of the group felt that the 98 lb.
weight should be added for freestyle
and Greco. Also, a 90 lb. weight might
be considered for high school compe-
tition. There were no decisions made.
Lanny Bryant of the S.W.N. told us
that he would be glad to help in any
way as far as communication is con-
cerned.
John Dustin noted that he is having
great difficulty in preparing for sev-
eral exchange matches but that they
should work out okay. The difficulty
seems to be in communicating between
countries.
A very important item transpired at
our meeting. This organization is to
be known as the National High School
Wrestling Congress. This name is new
and different and it should aleviate
confusion with other organizations.
Our big problem now is to contact
the presidents of all state High School
Wrestling Coaches Associations. The
regional directors will be contacting
those states in their regions to find
out if their state association will join
the Congress. We need your represen-
tation to become an active and effec-
tive body.
There was some discussion as to the
election of officers. Some felt the pres-
ent officers should continue until their
terms were up; others felt that some
of the ground work has been laid, and
a new slate of officers, according to
the constitution, should be elected. The
for all-around fitness and fun, and a man who keeps wrestling, even lightly, can
stick with it for many years. Wrestling is much more fun than most of the solitary
fitness activities available to men past their 20s. But "it takes two to tangle" and,
while a runner always can race the clock, a wrestler needs someone else to match
skills with. Open wrestling tournaments generally are geared to men in their 20s
and teens. Though some wrestlers in their 30s and 40s can, and a few of them
do, condition themselves adequately to contend with these youngsters, the mount-
ing demands of jobs and families prevent most older men from training so inten-
sively. The "old timers" meet described below is a Peninsula Wrestling Club
effort to give wrestlers over 30 a competitive incentive. It will be held on the
weekend of March 22-24, 1974. Please spread the word in your area.
An editor in CAREER WORLD, a magazine for high school students, continues
to perpetuate a stereotype-"As to whether wrestling is for real, let's say there's
a lot of show biz combined with the athletics. In the words of one star grappler,
Gorilla Monsoon: "Every man in this business is a professional who knows the
fundamentals and refinements of wrestling. But we also deal, in excitement, and
the only way to get excitement is to deviate from the rules. If we gave people
collegiate or Olympic-type wrestling, the arenas would be empty. We add color."
Since Gorilla weighs in at a tough 400 pounds, who's arguing?"
An outstanding scholastic wrestler, Clay Fink, caps his career-"Clay Fink:
Among Mat Elite," written by Len Slother, Herald Sports Editor. One of the most
outstanding schoolboy wrestling careers in Pennsylvania's rich mat history is wind-
ing to a close in Central Pennsylvania as the 1973-74 winter sports grind moves
through the home stretch. While head coach Pete Dutrow's Tyrone High wrestling
team tries to add to another winning (7-2) dual meet season record against B.E.A.
tomorrow night and at Penns Valley next weekend before swinging onto the PIAA
Tourney trail, the season's home stretch will bear added significance for Golden
Eagle fans. The closing weeks, too, will mark the countdown on the final chapter
of a 'family affair' that's embraced a tradition-rich sport and become legend here.
And the climax to a brilliant individual career that's taken the last of the Thomas
G. Fink clan of Schoch Hollow (Tyrone RD) to the ranks of scholastic wrestling's
elite with a record probably unmatched in the school's 35-year mat history. Follow-
ing the footsteps of Dad (Thomas G. Fink), a District 6 champion and a state
tourney qualifier in the late 40's, and brothers Gig, Tyrone's only two-time PIAA
champion,-and Tom, a District 6 runner-up who has qualified for the NCAA Small
College Nationals as a freshman at Bloomsburg this year, Clay Fink has added
to the legendary feats of the wrestling Fink clan. Tomorrow night the youngest of
the Finks will make his final home dual meet appearance when B.E.A. visits the
TAHS gym to meet Dutrow's Golden Eagles. And he'll be shooting for his 51st
consecutive victory in an undefeated four year span of 43 dual meet bouts and
eight Post-Holiday Tournament bouts, including a perfect Jay Vee season as a
freshman and three unbeaten, untied Varsity seasons. Overall, his awesome
record in interscholastic competition at the Jay Vee and Varsity levels is a stagger-
ing 55-2, both losses coming in post-season tournament bouts. Huntingdon's Henry
Green handed him a 5-0 loss in the Section I1 Tournament two years ago, and
then went on to win Huntingdon's first individual PIAA wrestling championship.
Altoona's Butch Gentsch added the other blemish in an upset last year in District 6
semifinals. Winning five Area I1 Jr. Olympic titles, three Pennsylvania State Jr.
Olympic gold medals, a State YMCA crown, one Area I1 Senior Olympics cham-
pionship and one runner-up medal in the Area I1 Senior Olympics, a couple of
summer tournaments, four Post-Holiday Tournament championships, and the PIAA
District 6, Section 2 title last year, he's put together a remarkable 124-11 career
record since he began competitive wrestling.
An ever-competitive Olympic Champion gets eliminated by the 'big boys1-
Rotunda, F1a.-Dan Gable, first wrestler to participate in the Super Star Sports
Spectacular, failed to qualify for the finals but picked up 24 points in the trials,
good for $2,400. He won the 880-yard run in his group and was second in weight
lifting.
An indefatigable fan, Larry Manley, of New York, continues to sell his state
wrestling and its coaches-Syracuse University nearly upset highly favored Pitts-
burg with a one-point loss 21-20. First year boys from local high schools winning
were: John DeBiase (1341, Cicero's Pat Greene (1421, North Syracuse's John Janiak
(1501, Jordan-Elbridge's Ken Wilson (158), and Tim Jenks (167. Greene, under Coach
Jack Williams at Cicero High, as 8-1 and Janiak, North Syracuse under Coach Ron
Roch, is 11-1. Christian Brothers Academy Mat Maids for 1974 are: Stephanie
Doodigian, Kerrin Hopkins, Barbara Reed, Kelley Hopkins, Elaine Bannach, Mary
Maloney. CBA Mat Maids would like to hear from other Mat Maids. Write to
Wrestling Coach Gary Barnaba, Christian Brothers Academy, Randall Rr., Dewitt,
New York 13214.
And 11,000 people turned out to see University of Iowa defeat Iowa State,
23-12. SWN ALL-AMERICANS and Dan Gable are a big help to Coach Kurdelmeier
and the Hawkeyes. And the NCAA University Championships in the same Hilton
Coliseum drew 14,000 spectators four weekends later. And the mail ended on
mostly positive notes. The joys of a successful season. Another season of greatness
and peronal growth for all the young people of our sport. But honest folks, some
days the mail is a pretty heavy emotional trip. Wrestling is a part of life . . . and
LIFE is WOW!!!
DOES SUMMER WRESTLING HELP?
By A1 Bevilacqua
Empire Coach Editor
Massapequa, Long Island, N. Y.
For a number of years most coaches
in New York have urged their wrestl-
ers to participate in summer tourna-
ments and to attend one of many fine
wrestling camps. We have felt as
coaches it was worthwhile in experi-
ence, but we weren't quite sure how
much. How can we truly attempt to
evaluate the effectiveness of such pro-
grams? The attempt below is an obser-
vation made while being a member of
the New York State Cultural Exchange
matches with Missouri and Illinois. In
no way is the article an attempt to
downgrade any high school program or
coach. It is only an attempt to show the
effectiveness of one of our New York
State Association programs. Hopefully,
it will stimulate a few coaches to the
point where they will become involved
in their coaching association's activ-
, ,
two of the boys who made the trip
were public high school champions.
They were Steve Hunte of Bellmore
Kennedy and Rory Whipple of Ironde-
quoit. Four other boys were place win-
ners in the state tournament. There-
fore, 14 of the 20 boys were not sec-
tional champions. As a matter of fact,
10 of the 14 were not league cham-
pions. To say the least, these wrestler8
were not the very best wrestlers we
had in the state. They were the 20
boys willing to give up half their sum-
mer to train and improve their wrestl-
ing skills. These were the boys willing
to drive halfway across the country
in a crowded bus, sleep on wrestling
mats, wrestle nine times in five days,
eat sparingly, get yelled at by Coach
Stanbro and Hausrath, while others in
the state chose to spend their vacations
going to the beach and relaxing. These
were the boys willing to take on the
finest high school wrestlers in the
ities. country, as witnessed by Oregon and
To review, of the twenty wrestlers Illinois, who had every one of their
involved, 13 boys are presently wrestl- state champions and place winners at
ing in high school. The seven other the Nationals. These were the boys
boys have enrolled in college and have who in the long run will be some of
continued their wrestling careers. Only the country's finest wrestlers.
Term Use by So-called
Professional Wrestling
Ames, Iowa-The National Wrestling
Coaches Association adopted a resolu-
tion here March 16 requesting that
professional wrestling cease from
being referred to as a form of wrest11
ing. The coaches feel that this so-called
sport is actually a simulated combative
activity, and it is hoped that the news
media as well as local, state and fed-
eral lawmakers will properly label it
as such.
It is the belief of the coaches that
the use of the term wrestling by this
alleged sport is injurious to the true
sport of amateur wrestling. True
wrestling does not permit the use of
punching, kicking, gouging and other
such tactics.
It is further felt that the wholesome
atmosphere and reputation of amateur
wrestling have been hindered because
the public has often been unaware of
the distinction between true wrestling
and the professional variety.
Since the coaches feel deeply about
their sport and are concerned about
its image they feel the necessity for
trying to clarify the situation.
Thus, out of respect for the true form
of the sport and for those who coach
it, compete in it and are interested in
it, the association asks that so-called
professional wrestling be recognized
for what it is.
FOURTH ANNUAL
ALL STATE BANQUET
The IWCOA held its fourth annual
All-State Banquet in Dekalb, Illinois
on April 6th. The Illinois Wrestling
Coaches and Officials Association hon-
ored the top 60 wrestlers of both
classes. The IWCOA presented awards
to the coaches of the year in Class A
and AA, outstanding wrestler in Class
A and AA, scholastic wrestler, official
of the year, and newsman of the year.
Coach of the year went to Class A
Champion Coach Charlie Anderson.
Anderson's teams have consistently
throughout the years distinguished
themselves as well as producing many
outstanding individuals. Anderson has
served on the IHSA rules committee,
has been a past officer in the IWCOA
and initiated one of the first state
wi.estling newspapers in the United
States. Anderson's service to Illinois
wrestling has been outstanding and un-
selfish throughout his tenure as a
coach. Anderson's school, Savanna, is
a school of about 500 students.
Class AA coach of the year was Rich
Central's Bob Campbell. Campbell's
team was Class AA state champion.
Campbell has distinguished himself as
serving as coach of the Illinois cultural
exchange team to New York last year
and being active in summer freestyle
programs and in the work of the Mayor
Daley Wrestling Club. Campbell is also
a mainstay in the Illinois Wrestling
Federation.
Outstanding wrestler awards were
presented to Class AA 155 lb. state
champion Dave Powell of St. Charles
and lo Class A 145 lb. state champion
Marty Williams of Yorkville. The 0ut-
standing Wrestler Award was chosen
by ballot of the top 10 coaches in each
class.
Official of the year was presented to
Ken Marlin of Rockford. Marlin has
been instrumental for many years in
promoting wrestling clinics and giving
officials an official voice in the IW-
COA. Marlin has also been instrumen-
tal in developing wrestling programs
on all levels in the Rockford area and
statewide.
Newsman of the year went to Vic
Reato of the Joliet Herald News. Reato
was chosen from 10 nominees in a very
tight contest.
Alex Riccomminni of East Leyden
High School was named scholastic
wrestler of the year. Riccomminni has
a 3.6 cumulative grade point average
and ranks fourth in his class at East
Leyden. The East Leyden 132 pounder
under the direction of Mentor Chuck
Farina placed 3rd in that weight class
in AA competition.
AN ILLINOIS 145-LB. TRADITION?
An interesting sidelight to the N ~AA
national's battle at 150 lbs. was that
Jarrett Hubbard, Joliet West High
School (Michigan), Bob Holland, East
Leyden High School (Iowa State) and
Dan Holm, 158 lb. 3rd placc (Iowa)
Libertyville High School were consecu-
t,ive Illinois 145 lb. state champs from
1970 through 1972.
Hubbard was 145 lb. state champ in
1970, Holm in 1971, and Holland in
1972.
Hubbard met Holland in the NCAA
Nationals in the championship round,
Hubbard being a senior and defending
champion and Holland the first fresh-
man to reach NCAA final round. Dan
Holm took 3rd place in the 158 pound
division.
ILLINOIS WRESTLERS TO OREGON
The Illinois Wrestling Coaches and
Officials Association in cooperation
with the Illinois Wrestling Federation
is preparing for its cultural exchange
with Oregon and Colorado. Each boy
will qualify through a qualifying tour-
nament and must meet certain selec-
tion criteria.
The Oregon trip will be just one of
the highlights of the summer wrestling
season. Illinois will also send a team
to the U.S. Wrestling Federation Na-
tionals in Iowa City, Iowa.
A complete series of late spring and
summer tournaments is now in the
process of being set up. If you are in-
terested in hosting a free style tourna-
ment contact Ted DeRousse, Antioch
High School, Antioch, Illinois or Bill
Peterson, Lakeview High School, Chi-
cago, Illinois.
ILLINOIS PROUD OF COMBS
It is with a great deal of pride and
just a little sadness to see Steve Combs
leave the ranks of Illinois coaches and
travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma to take
over the Executive Directorship of the
USWF.
Combs has distinguished himself
with outstanding leadership in Illinois
circles. We who have worked with him,
know him as a man with boundless
energy and unquestionable principles.
His dedication to scholastic wrestling is
primary and he will certainly reach
wrestling on the grass roots level. He
CLASS SYSTEM A SUCCESS
IN ILLINOIS
For most people the season has
wound down and for coaches and wres-
tlcrs alike a month or so of no-pressure
and relaxation is well deserved. IIlli-
nois has just experienced its first two
class tournaments. More than 32,000
fans at-tended the four sessions of the
two-day event which posted a mile-
stone in the Illinois record books.
Rich Central of Olympia Fields,
coached by Bob Campbell won 'the AA
division. Campbell's Rich Central team
had the title virtually wrapped up by
qualifying three men in the finals at
138, 145 and 155. Oak Lawn took second
with two champions.
Savanna High School, coached by
veteran Charles Anderson, took top
honors in Class A competition. Savanna
had one champion and two seconds
edging out Yorkville by a point and
onc half. Runnerup Yorkville had two
champions and one third. Competition
in the new Class A division was espe-
cially close (less than a seven point
spread between the top six places).
Crowd enthusiasm and participation
was exceptional and should be a fore-
taste of a great future for Illinois
wrestling.
Top five winners in each class arc
as follows:
Class AA
1. Rich Ccntral, 41, Coach Bob Camp-
Last Year
Five of the seven boys that entered the
state competition placed. This year it
took one first, three thirds and a sixth
to walk away with their tenth state
crown. Our congratulations to Mike
and his team.
In the A-AA it was Columbus Saint
Francis DeSales winning the crown for
the second time in four years. The first
championship was in 1971 when the
A-AA Tournament was first started.
Sixty-one points was the winner's score
when the tournament ended. Like Ma-
ple Heights, DeSales entered competition
with seven boys. When the final
results were in six of the seven placed.
All-American Selection
I would like to take time to thank
the selection committee for their help.
I must confess that things did not run
as smoothly as I hoped, but with the
experience we will do a better job next
year.
Second, I would like to thank the
coaches who submitted boys for our
selection. I was very pleased to see the
response. Over fifteen boys were recommended
by their coaches.
The committee had a hard time ranking
these outstanding wrestlers for the
National Selection Committee. I hope
we did a fair job.
Next year be sure to read Scholastic
Wrestling News, I will attempt to keep
you informed of the deadline for submitting
your boys for consideration.
Does 'Pulling' Weight
Really Harm
The Wrestler?
By Dr. Glynn A. Lcyshon
Univ. of Western Ontario (Canada)
(Reprinted from Scholastic Coach)
Wrestling has frequently been criticized
for its excesses with crash diets
and weight loss. The cries of protest
have come from medical associations,
coaches' asssociations, and P.T.A.'s. All
9
believe that depriving growing children
of food can do them organic harm.
Aren't they exaggerating the problem?
Is there any evidence that a controlled
diet over a limited period of
time can harm a healthy child? Or
a
that periodic dehydration can ,cause 1973 SOUND WRESTLlNG CAMP. John M\lrnn, director, again passed out copies of SWN to the
ill effects?
To be strictly pragmatic: How many
young wrestlers have been harmed by
weight reduction? You know that the
Camp Champs. Rummy Macias, Mankato State, MINNESOTA, did an outstanding clinician job
with the young wrestlers. Write John at 8917 220th S.W., Edmonds, WASHINGTON 98020 for
of his training program. Yet, the record
shows very few catastrophies of
North American concept of a healthy
baby, for example, is that of bigness.
In short, the controversy over weight so defensive about controlled weight
loss is colored by the public's emo- loss and/or dehydration. Science shows
part in the control of diabetes. Our
bodies at one time were accustomed
to a feast-or-starve rather than a three-
meal-a-day regimen. Present overfeed-
ing may play a part in the increasing
incidence of diabetes.
People engaged in heavy work
have lower cholesterol levels. The com-
bination of heavy work and reduced
diets, as in wrestling, makes for a
healthy cholesterol balance.
The human life span is inversely
related to total caloric intake.
"Lean and mean" is the wrestler's
most efficient state. One study shows
that wrestlers improve their reactions
as they approach their "fighting"
weight through dietting and dehydra-
tion. Two other pieces of research in-
dicate that reduction in muscle girth
incurs no significant decrease in
strength.
At least nine studies show that
wrestlers have been able to reduce
from five to ten per cent of their body-
weight without appreciable effect.
These findings have been corroborated
by studies on marathon runners.
Several of these facts run contrary
to popular belief. The layman knows
that when he is hungry he is weak, and
when he is "dying of thirst" he cannot
work at all. What he does not realize
is that a wrestler's body responds dif-
ferently from that of an untrained
body.
Perhaps the most surprising of these
responses has to do with the level of
serum growth hormone. This hormone
is an endocrine secretion that exists
in everyone's blood at a level commen-
surate with his maturity. Growing
children, for example, have a higher
level than adults.
Under certain stresses, including
, ,
semistarvation and heavy work, the
amount of this growth hormone in-
creases. The significance of this should
not go unnoticed by those who predict
long-range problems for young wrestl-
ers on diets.
Tanner, an English physiologist, ex-
plains the increase in serum growth
hormone as a safety device that in-
sures every child of achieving his "tar-
get growth level" despite temporary
setbacks such as illness.
When a child's growth trajectory is
changed slightly by substandard nutri-
tion, a restoring force (most probably
the increase in growth hormone) de-
velops as soon as his nutrition returns
to normal. At this point, his growth
accelerates up to twice its normal speed
until its original trajectory is reached,
following which his growth proceeds
at its normal pace.
This information should allay pa-
rental fear over the growth of their
children. Anyone who has ever seen a
boy grow out of several weight classes
through junior high school and high
school has observed this phenomenon
in action.
Since a good diet is balanced but low
in calories, one might wonder what
effect a reduced diet would have on
muscle tissue. Astrand, the Swedish
physiologist, studied the effects of re-
duced diet on cross-country skiers. He
discovered that though the athletes
skied 20 to 50 miles per day they util-
ized no more protein than resting
athletes.
He also found that they expended
18,000 calories in terms of work, but
ingested only 1,000 calories. A similar
study of an Indian tribe id Mexico re-
vealed that they burned 11,000 calories
in the course of a 100-mile run, yet
had an intake that came nowhere near
that amount.
Could our wrestlers be in the same
category? Physiologists admit that this
business of operating efficiently on a
reduced diet has been going on for
years, so there must be something
to it.
Another physiological phenomenon
is the manner in which a trained body
perspires. Much criticism has been
leveled at the practice of reducing
weight by dehydration; in fact, the
high school rules forbid the use of
artificial devices such as sweat-boxes.
Though there certainly is a point at
which the system would collapse with-
out adequate fluid, there is a sharp dif-
ference in tolerance between. the
trained and the untrained body. Re-
search shows that the trained body can
produce two types of perspiration: an
"effort sweat" and a "thermal sweat."
Both are, of course, designed to regu-
late the body temperature.
The effort sweat is poor in sodium
chloride, indicating that the body is
making an effort to preserve the elec-
trolytes (vital body chemicals) which
are lost in the perspiration of the un-
trained person.
Studies show that whereas an un- "
trained person will be sharply affected
by only a two per cent loss in weight
'
through dehydration, the trained person
will be able to operate efficiently
,despite as much as a seven per cent
loss!
For a 150-pound wrestler, the loss of
seven per cent of his weight comes to - I
10 pounds, which is more than enough '
to put him in the next lower weight
1
class.
It is interesting to note that physiologists
consider the trained state as one
of chronic dehydration. Marathon runners
have always lived in this "state"
without anyone protesting. Consider --
the premise that the ideal weight for
a marathoner should be two pounds
for every inch in height: is anyone
writing editorials about six-foot distance
runners who weigh 144 pounds?
Costill's study of dehydration in distance
running reveals that the leaders
in marathon races (26 miles) lose an I
average of nearly 10 pounds. When you
consider that this weight is shed in a
period of about two hours and that the
men are extremely lean to begin with,
you can glean an idea of the inconsequential
effect of temporary dehydration
on performance. Costill also found
that the dehydration had little effect
on the runners' blood volume.
Is this also the case with wrestlers?
Very likely. They, too, are lean, and -
dehydrate from a hard workout, running,
or session in a sweat-box (where *
rules permit). The fact that the wrestl- ,
er is, like the runner, a conditioned
athlete causes his body to react dif-
ferently from that an untrained person.
His blood volume remains constant
despite the loss of water.
To extend the parallel, consider the
experiment by Costill in which a mara-
thoner ran 20 miles per day at a six-
mile-per-hour pace (a comfortable
training pace) for three consecutive
days. Though he was given liquid dur-
ing the run, he could not absorb the
water from his stomach as fast as he
lost it in perspiration.
Isn't that simliar to the wrestler's
daily workouts in mid-season (except
for the administration of fluids)?
Marathoners also attempt to replace
their fluid loss very quickly, but un-
less they force themselves to drink
more than they desire the total re-
placement can take several days.
In wrestling this idea of quick re-
placement has been termed "bounc-
ing" and has been attacked as a bad
practice. There seems to be little evi-
dence that it is.
The replacement of lost fluid should
be done steadily and as soon as pos-
sible. The good commercial thirst
quenchers contain sodium chloride, po-
tassium, etc., which help retain the
fluid and thus offer the quickest means
of rehydration.
The marathoners exhibit a high de-
gree of urine production after a race.
Wrestlers evidence the same condition
after a tournament. This is the body's
way of handling more fluid than the
cells can immediately absorb.
In some respects, the wrestler has
an advantage over the runner. He has
five hours in which to rehydrate after
his weigh-in before a bout. He can re-
place a lot of lost fluid in this time.
The temporary nature of this kind
of dehydration was graphically proven
in a study in which a group of wrestl-
ers were given one litre of sugar-sweet-
ened water supplemented with salt
tablets every 30 minutes following the
weigh-in. Match-time five hours later
found them completely rehydrated!
This is not to say that "pulling
weight" can never harm the wrestler,
but the odds are small. It would take
great excess and certain other abuses
to cause any significant damage.
The following guidelines should be
used in effecting any weight-reduction
programs:
1. Weight loss should not exceed
seven per cent of the body weight once
a reasonable state of fitness is attained.
The boy who is carrying a huge roll
of fat obviously can and should lose
more.
2. No attempt at weight loss should
be made without a minimum of two
weeks of daily conditioning. By this
time even the fat boy will have started
