ECHO displays the quoted text string as text output.<br />

Basic Specification<br />

The basic specification is the command name ECHO followed by a quoted text string.<br />

<strong>Syntax</strong> Rules<br />

• The text string must be enclosed in single or double quotes, following the standard rules<br />

for quoted strings.<br />

• The text string can be continued on multiple lines by enclosing each line in quotes and<br />

using the plus (sign) to combine the strings -- but the string will be displayed on a single<br />

line in output.<br />
