• If FORMAT=REFERENCE is specified when SPLIT=SCALE, the reference line is placed at<br />

the mean of the subgroup. If FORMAT=REFERENCE is specified when SPLIT=UNIFORM,<br />

the reference line is placed at the overall mean.<br />

UNIFORM Uniform scale. The horizontal axis is scaled according to the values of the entire<br />

data set. This is the default if SPLIT is not specified.<br />

SCALE Individual scale. The horizontal axis is scaled according to the values of each individual<br />

subgroup.<br />

Example<br />

SPLIT FILE BY REGION.<br />

CASEPLOT TICKETS / SPLIT=SCALE.<br />

• This example produces one plot for each REGION subgroup.<br />

• The horizontal axis for each plot is scaled according to the values of TICKETS for each<br />

particular region.<br />

APPLY Subcommand<br />

APPLY allows you to produce a caseplot using previously defined specifications without<br />

having to repeat the CASEPLOT subcommands.<br />

• The only specification on APPLY is the name of a previous model in quotes. If a model<br />

name is not specified, the specifications from the previous CASEPLOT command are used.<br />

• If no variables are specified, the variables that were specified for the original plot are used.<br />

• To change one or more plot specifications, specify the subcommands of only those<br />

portions you want to change after the APPLY subcommand.<br />

• To plot different variables, enter new variable names before or after the APPLY subcommand.<br />

Example<br />

CASEPLOT TICKETS<br />

/LN<br />

/DIFF=1<br />

/SDIFF=1<br />

/PER=12.<br />

CASEPLOT ROUNDTRP<br />

/APPLY.<br />

CASEPLOT APPLY<br />

/NOLOG.<br />

• The first command produces a plot of TICKETS after a natural log transformation,<br />

differencing, and seasonal differencing.<br />

• The second command plots ROUNDTRP using the same transformations specified for<br />

TICKETS.<br />

• The third command produces a plot of ROUNDTRP, but this time without any natural log<br />

transformation. The variable is still differenced once and seasonally differenced with a<br />

periodicity of 12.
