MXWARNS Maximum number of warnings and errors shown for text output. The<br />

default is 10.<br />

N Unweighted number of cases in the working data file. N displays<br />

UNKNOWN if a working data file has not yet been created. N cannot<br />

be changed with SET.<br />

OLANG Output language for pivot tables.<br />

ONUMBERS Display of variable values in the outline for pivot tables. The settings<br />

can be LABELS, VALUES, and BOTH.<br />

OVARS Display of variables as headings. The settings can be LABELS,<br />

NAMES, and BOTH.<br />

PRINTBACK <strong>Command</strong> printback. The setting can be BOTH (alias LISTING, YES,<br />

or ON) or NONE (alias NO or OFF). The default is BOTH at system<br />

installation.<br />

RESULTS Output from commands. Not applicable to output displayed in pivot tables.<br />

The setting can be LISTING (alias YES or ON) or NONE (alias NO<br />

or OFF).<br />

SCALEMIN For data files created in versions of SPSS prior to version 8.0, the minimum<br />

number of unique values for a numeric variable used to classify<br />

the variable as scale. Only affects pre-8.0 data files opened in later<br />

version.<br />

SCOMPRESSION Compression of SPSS-format data files. This setting can be overridden<br />

by the COMPRESSED or UNCOMPRESSED subcommands on the<br />

SAVE or XSAVE commands. The default setting varies by system.<br />

SCOMPRESSION cannot be changed with SET.<br />

SEED Seed for the random-number generator. The default is generally<br />

2,000,000 but may vary by system.<br />

SMALL Decimal value to control display of scientific notation in output.<br />

SYSMIS The system-missing value. SYSMIS cannot be changed with SET.<br />

TFIT Adjust column widths in pivot tables. The settings can be BOTH (label<br />

and data) and LABELS.<br />

TLOOK Pivot table template file. The setting can be either NONE or a filename.<br />

TNUMBER Display of variable values in pivot tables. The settings can be VALUES,<br />

LABELS, and BOTH.<br />

TVARS Display of variables as headings. The settings can be NAMES,<br />

LABELS, and BOTH.<br />

UNDEFINED Warning message for undefined data. WARN is the default. NOWARN<br />

suppresses messages but does not alter the count of warnings toward<br />

the MXWARNS total.
