Scoring Instructions<br />

Point values are assigned as indicated above.<br />

<strong>Victimization</strong> Scale:<br />

Overt aggression: Items 1–4<br />

Relational aggression: Items 5–6<br />

Aggression Scale:<br />

Overt aggression: Items 7–10<br />

Relational aggression: Items 11–12<br />

Each point represents one instance of victimization<br />

or aggression reported by the student during the<br />

week prior to the survey. If four or more items<br />

are missing, the score cannot be computed. If<br />

three or fewer items are missing, these values are<br />

replaced by the respondent’s average. Ranges for<br />

the victimization <strong>and</strong> aggression subscales are 0 to<br />

24 <strong>and</strong> 0 to 12 for overt <strong>and</strong> relational aggression,<br />

respectively. Higher scores indicate higher levels of<br />

victimization <strong>and</strong> aggression.<br />
