Scoring Instructions<br />

Point values are assigned as indicated above.<br />

Compute separate subscale (Agent <strong>and</strong> Target)<br />

scores by summing the responses to items a–e for<br />

each subscale. The Agent subscale emerged as a<br />

distinct factor from the Victim subscale in factor<br />

analysis; thus, it is inappropriate to compute a total<br />

scale score. Scores for each subscale range from 5<br />

to 25. Higher scores on the Agent subscale indicates<br />

greater perpetration of homophobic teasing, while<br />

higher scores on the Target subscale indicate more<br />

experience being the victim of homophobic teasing.<br />
