harm to any person or to resist or prevent the lawful arrest or detention <strong>of</strong> any person–<br />

(a) unlawfully wounds or does any grievous harm to any person by any means whatever;<br />

(b) unlawfully attempts in any manner to strike any person with any kind <strong>of</strong> projectile or<br />

with a spear, sword, knife or other dangerous or <strong>of</strong>fensive weapon;<br />

(c) unlawfully causes any explosive substance to explode;<br />

(d) sends or delivers any explosive substance or other dangerous or noxious thing to any<br />

person;<br />

(e) causes any substance or thing referred to in paragraph (d) to be taken or received by<br />

any person;<br />

(f) puts any corrosive fluid or any destructive or explosive substance in any place; or<br />

(g) unlawfully casts or throws any fluid or substance referred to in paragraph (f) at or upon<br />

any person, or otherwise applies any such fluid or substance to that person <strong>of</strong> any<br />

person,<br />

is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence, and liable to imprisonment for life.<br />

222A. Possession <strong>of</strong> human being parts<br />

Any person who is found in unlawful possession <strong>of</strong> human being parts commits an <strong>of</strong>fence<br />

and shall upon conviction be liable to imprisonment for a period not exceeding thirty years.<br />

223. Preventing escape from wreck<br />

Any person who unlawfully–<br />

(a) prevents or obstructs any other person who is on board <strong>of</strong>, or is escaping from, a<br />

vessel which is in distress or wrecked, in his endeavours to save his life; or<br />

(b) obstructs any other person in his endeavours to save the life <strong>of</strong> any person in the<br />

circumstances referred to in paragraph (a),<br />

is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence and liable to imprisonment for life.<br />

224. Endangering safety <strong>of</strong> persons travelling by railway<br />

(1) Any person who, with intent to injure or to endanger the safety <strong>of</strong> any person travelling by<br />

any railway, whether a particular person or not–<br />

(a) places anything on the railway;<br />

(b) deals with the railway, or with anything whatever upon or near the railway, in such a<br />

manner as to affect or endanger the free and safe use <strong>of</strong> the railway or the safety <strong>of</strong>
