CHAPTER XXII<br />
OFFENCES CONNECTED WITH MURDER AND SUICIDE (ss 211-219)<br />
211. Attempt to murder<br />
Any person who–<br />
(a) attempts unlawfully to cause the death <strong>of</strong> another; or<br />
(b) with intent unlawfully to cause the death <strong>of</strong> another, does any act or omits to do any<br />
act which it is his duty to do, the act or omission being <strong>of</strong> such a nature as to be likely<br />
to endanger human life,<br />
is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence and is liable to imprisonment for life.<br />
212. Repealed<br />
[Repealed by Ord. No. 47 <strong>of</strong> 1954 s. 3.]<br />
213. Accessory after the fact to murder<br />
Any person who becomes an accessory after the fact to murder is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence and<br />
liable to imprisonment for seven years.<br />
214. Written threats to murder<br />
Any person who, knowing the contents there<strong>of</strong>, directly or indirectly causes any person to<br />
receive any writing threatening to kill any person is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence and is liable to<br />
imprisonment for seven years.<br />
215. Conspiracy to murder<br />
Any person who conspires with any other person to kill any person, whether that person is in<br />
Mainland <strong>Tanzania</strong> or elsewhere, is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence and is liable to imprisonment for<br />
fourteen years.<br />
216. Aiding suicide<br />
Any person who–<br />
(a) procures another to kill himself;<br />
(b) counsels another to kill himself and thereby induces him to do so; or<br />
(c) aids another in killing himself,
