43 Promoting warlike undertakings<br />

Any person who, without lawful authority, carries on or makes preparation for carrying on, or<br />

aids in or devises the carrying on <strong>of</strong>, or preparation for, any war or warlike undertaking with, for,<br />

by or against any person or body or group <strong>of</strong> persons in the United Republic, shall be guilty <strong>of</strong><br />

an <strong>of</strong>fence and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for life.<br />

Inciting to mutiny<br />

Any person who advisedly attempts to effect any <strong>of</strong> the following purposes, that is to say–<br />

(a) to seduce any member <strong>of</strong> the Police Force, the Prisons Service or the National Service<br />

from his duty and allegiance to the United Republic;<br />

(b) to incite any such person to commit an act <strong>of</strong> mutiny or any traitorous or mutinous act;<br />

or<br />

(c) to incite any such person to make or endeavour to make a mutinous assembly,<br />

is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence and is liable to imprisonment for life.<br />

46. Aiding soldiers or police <strong>of</strong>ficers in acts <strong>of</strong> mutiny<br />

Any person who–<br />

(a) aids, abets, or is accessory to, any act <strong>of</strong> mutiny by any member <strong>of</strong> the Police Force,<br />

Prisons Service or National Service; or<br />

(b) incites any member <strong>of</strong> the Police Force, Prisons Service or National Service to sedition<br />

or to disobedience to any lawful order given by a superior <strong>of</strong>ficer is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence.<br />

Inducing soldiers or police <strong>of</strong>ficers to desert<br />

Any person who, by any means whatsoever, directly or indirectly–<br />

(a) procures or persuades or attempts to procure or persuade to desert; or<br />

(b) aids, abets or is accessory to the desertion <strong>of</strong>; or<br />

(c) having reason to believe he is a deserter, harbours or aids in concealing,
