intent that another use shall be made <strong>of</strong> the stamp upon that material; or<br />

(g) knowingly and without lawful excuse, the pro<strong>of</strong> where<strong>of</strong> shall lie upon him, has in his<br />

possession any stamp or part <strong>of</strong> a stamp which has been fraudulently cut, torn or<br />

otherwise removed from any material,or any stamp which has been fraudulently<br />

mutilated, or any stamped material out <strong>of</strong> which any name, sum, date or other matter<br />

or thing has been fraudulently erased or otherwise really or apparently removed,<br />

is liable to imprisonment for seven years.<br />

341. Making or having in possession paper or implements for forgery<br />

Any person who without lawful authority or excuse, pro<strong>of</strong> where<strong>of</strong> lies upon him–<br />

(a) makes, uses or knowingly has in his custody or possession any paper intended to<br />

resemble and pass as special paper such as is provided and used for making any<br />

currency note or bank note;<br />

(b) makes, uses or knowingly has in his custody or possession, any frame, mould or<br />

instrument for making such paper, or for producing in or on such paper any words,<br />

figures, letters, marks, lines or devices peculiar to and used in or on any such paper;<br />

(c) engraves or anywise makes upon any plate, wood, stone or other material, any words,<br />

figures, letters, marks, lines or devices, the print where<strong>of</strong> resembles in whole or in part<br />

any words figures, letters, marks, lines or devices peculiar to and used in or on any<br />

currency note or bank note or in or on any document entitling or evidencing the title <strong>of</strong><br />

any person to any share or interest in any public stock, annuity, fund or debt <strong>of</strong> any<br />

part <strong>of</strong> the Commonwealth or <strong>of</strong> any foreign state, or in any stock, annuity, fund or debt<br />

<strong>of</strong> any body corporate, company or society, whether within or without the<br />

Commonwealth;<br />

(d) uses or knowingly has in his custody or possession any plate, wood, stone or other<br />

material, upon which any such words,figures, letters marks, lines or devices have been<br />

engraved or in anywise made as aforesaid; or<br />

(e) uses or knowingly has in his custody or possession, any paper upon which any such<br />

words, figures, letters, marks, lines or devices have been printed or in anywise made<br />

as aforesaid,<br />

is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence and is liable to imprisonment for seven years.<br />

342. Uttering false documents<br />

Any person who knowingly and fraudulently utters a false document is guilty <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>fence<br />

and is liable to the punishment, provided for in respect <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>fence <strong>of</strong> forgery in relation to<br />

that document.
