he foregoing exposition should have given the reader<br />
a clearer conception of the fact that All alone in timelessness,<br />
man is put to test in a world of images in his<br />
mind, with the original of which he can by no means<br />
be in touch. The verse, " Leave the person I created on his own to<br />
Me alone," (Surat Al-Muddaththir: 11) is a clear indication of this<br />
truth.<br />
Once in possession of the facts explained in this book, the reader<br />
will easily comprehend that including himself, man lives in a world,<br />
which we only encounter with its copy. In this copy universe, the<br />
sole absolute being is Allah. There is no other deity but Him. All the<br />
things people attach importance to and hence cast their religion<br />
away for are simply meaningless:<br />
That is because Allah—He is the Truth, and what you call upon besides<br />
Him is falsehood. Allah is the All-High, the Most Great.<br />
(Surah Luqman: 30)<br />
On a three-dimensional, high quality screen, an individual<br />
watches a film being projected. Since he is almost attached to this<br />
screen, he cannot succeed in detaching himself from it, so that he<br />
may grasp the situation he is in. Forgetting that he is in the Presence<br />
of Allah and is being tested by Him, he feels himself to be an independent<br />
and separate being, apart from Allah. Hence, he assumes<br />
himself to be very important. His experiences in life seem to be so<br />
real that he considers his body, his possessions, his family, and<br />
friends he watches on the screen to be real and feels pride in them.<br />
However, as it is stated expressly in the verse, "Blessed be Him to<br />
whom belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and<br />
everything in between them..." (Surat az-Zukhruf: 85), the sole<br />
owner of these possessions is Allah. Were Allah to withdraw this<br />
image from the screen, even for a moment, the human watcher<br />
would recognize that he is all alone. Furthermore, he would feel<br />
