Warm-ups<br />

• Read out the following questions and get the participants to answer them from the point<br />

of view of the chosen object, (as ‘I’).<br />

What are you? (e.g. ‘I am a cracked bottle...’)<br />

How are you feeling now?<br />

Where would you rather be?<br />

What relationships do you have?<br />

(i.e. describe family, friends, how you get on with<br />

other bottles)<br />

What do you dream of doing?<br />

What worries you?<br />

What would you like others to think of you?<br />

What keeps you awake at nights? (thoughts or external things)<br />

What is the best thing you ever did?<br />

What is the worst thing you ever did? (e.g. ‘I once ...’)<br />

What makes you feel guilty?<br />

What is your favourite time of day/night?<br />

What is the point of your life?<br />

How would you like to be remembered?<br />

• Give participants a few minutes to look at their own work, or, depending on the nature of the<br />

workshop, at others’.<br />

• Read out the work (especially different poems on the same object) and discuss.<br />
