ferries connecting Alaska with the<br />

lower 48. <strong>Ketchikan</strong> is a popular<br />

cruise ship port on the Inside Passage,<br />

serving major cruise lines.<br />

• Commuter air carriers connect<br />

<strong>Ketchikan</strong> with the outlying<br />

communities of southern Southeast<br />

Alaska and Prince Rupert, British<br />

Columbia.<br />

• Inter-Island Ferry Authority provides<br />

daily service between <strong>Ketchikan</strong> and<br />

hollis on Prince of Wales Island.<br />

Fly or float to The Rock, as we affectionately call our<br />

flights north- and southbound—and boasts a<br />

visiting yachts. Space for private<br />

aircraft is available at <strong>Ketchikan</strong><br />

International Airport.<br />

• The complimentary downtown loop<br />

shuttle bus runs May through September;<br />

its circuit begins at Berth 4.<br />

• Rental cars, taxis and public buses—<br />

one of them painted by <strong>Ketchikan</strong><br />

artist Ray Troll—offer easy access<br />

around the community.<br />
