HEREVER middle bursting is the

middle busters makes a basic implement
for just about everything a man
has to do up to picking time—bursting
middles, sweeping out old beds, planting,
listing, etc. For the backbone of
these busters is a heavy, square, steel
bar to which can be attached middle
buster or lister bottoms, sweeps, planting attachments,
etc. This bar is connected to the tractor by
long pull irons which attach to brackets extending
down from about the middle of the tractor frame
rails. It is carried on wheels, and these control the
working depth of the various attachments.
The No. 10 is primarily a two-row, though three
or four bottoms can be used where draft conditions
permit. The No. 11 is a combination three- and
four-row lister. It is of still huskier construction
than the No. 10 and plenty strong to be used with
the F-30 in hard ground. While it can also be used
with the F-20, it is not recommended for that tractor
except where the soil is light and easily worked.
These machines are of the power-lift type and it
is necessary that the tractors be equipped with powerlift
attachment.
The No. 10 is regularly equipped with 14-inch
middle-buster bottoms, the No. 11, with 14-inch
lister bottoms. These bottoms have soft-center
tempered steel molds and solid steel shares. Other
bottoms can be supplied on special order, including
bottoms with 18-, 20-, and 22-inch shares.
Planting attachments which can be supplied for
these machines are described on the following page.
You can even have a cultivating attachment to use
on the tool-bar of the No. 10 and No. 11 machines
in conjunction with the front section of your regular
Farmall cultivator. It consists of five spring-trips
with two 18-inch and three 10-inch sweeps. It makes

Other equipment which can be supplied
includes extra beam attachments, cultivating
attachment, spring trips instead of friction
trips, special gauge wheels, attachments for
using sweeps, and sweeps in various sizes.
