THE E1250A ALLOWS FOR NON-CONTACT, 

NON-STOP PAVING. 

The operator is given even more surge capacity by adding 

the optional hopper insert for the paver. This unit is also 

very versatile allowing for offset paving over barriers, 

string lines or any obstacle making it difficult to get trucks 

in front of the paver for inline paving.

REMIX HOPPER 

Twin interlaced augers remix both size and temperature segregated particles and narrow the material to enter 

the conveyor. The cover over the drop through position forces all of the material to be mixed by the auger 

flight. Other mixing systems cover and fill the augers rendering their mixing ability ineffective.

OPERATOR’S STATION 

The operator’s station can be positioned on either side of the 

machine by simply lifting a spring-loaded pin and swiveling 

the panel. The operator can adjust the steering wheel to a 

desired position with the standard tilt wheel feature. 

CONVEYOR & ELEVATOR DROP OUT FLOOR 

Clean out of the conveyor and elevator is made easy. 

Whether cleaning the machine or performing maintenance,

FOUR-WHEEL PLANETARY DRIVE SYSTEM 

The four-wheel Caterpillar planetary drive system 

maximizes pushing power while allowing for a tighter 

turning radius and lower center of gravity. 

SHIFTING PLATFORM 

The platform is capable of shifting 12 inches to either side 

of the machine for better visibility to the truck driver as well 

as the paver. 

DIRECT DRIVE MOTORS REDUCE NUMBER OF 

WEAR PARTS AND INCREASE RELIABILITY 

The elevator is direct drive with two high-torque hydraulic 

Motors, the conveyor is driven with one. There are no 

gearbox seals, bearings or fluids to worry about. The loop 

flush valve keeps the motor cool. 

MAIN CONTROLS AT YOUR FINGERTIPS 

All of the commonly used functions are located based on real 

operator input. A manual push-button override allows the 

operator to run the elevator at max capacity without changing 

the preset running speed. This provides for quick catch up if a 

truck is delayed getting to the hopper.

MATERIAL-FEED SYSTEM IMPROVES MAT QUALITY 

The material-feed system consists of two auger segments and slat conveyors. The auger segments are positioned 

on each side of the slat conveyors. The augers combine the material and move it to the slat conveyors for

A wide 118-inch throat, with large augers, delivers 

high production abilities. The infinitely variable 

hydraulic drive system allows the speed of the 

conveyor system to be matched with material and 

production requirements. Remixing also takes place 

when material is conveyed to the hopper. 

ADJUSTABLE SCRAPERS CREATE A CLEAN 

WHEEL PATH 

Three independent, adjustable scrapers allow you the 

flexibility to clean the surface of the road for the 

elevator and paver. Scrapers are located at the rear of 

the material-feed housing and extend across the width 

of the machine. Scrapers are attached with shear pins 

that protect them from damage by obstructions in the 

surface being paved. 

THREE-POINT SUSPENSION SYSTEM 

HELPS ENSURE SECURE BOND BETWEEN 

MAT AND TACK COAT 

The three-point suspension system consists of a 

hydraulic cylinder for each of the front wheels, and 

a pair of interconnected hydraulic cylinders for the 

two rear wheels. Because the two rear wheels are 

connected, they are always mirroring each other. 

The cylinders adjust the height of the wheels, which 

in turn, changes the height of the machine. 

NEW INSTRUMENT PANEL, DUAL-SIDE 

OPERATING CONTROLS ENHANCE 

PRODUCTIVITY AND SAFETY 

Instrument panel gauges, located on the left side of the 

machine, include oil pressure, water tempurature, volt meter, 

fuel, start switch, hour meter, and chain control lever. An 

engine warning light alerts the operator to shut down the 

engine and helps prevent major damage. With operational 

controls on both sides of the machine, this feature helps 

protect the operator by offering a choice to work on either 

side of the machine in order to avoid traffic.

HIGH-TEMPERATURE-RESISTANT BELT COUPLED WITH A POWERFUL DRIVE ENSURES TOP MATERIAL HANDLING. 

An independent variable-speed hydraulic, dual end-drive system–complete with two high-torque direct-drive motors–powers the 24-inch 

wide conveyor belt at speeds ranging from 0 to 400 fpm. Discharge speed is controlled by the conveyor speed knob, and discharge direction is 

controlled by a switch, both conveniently located on the operator’s station. 

The large-capacity receiving hopper has a 9-foot, 4-inch opening with an optional hydraulic push beam that provides flexibility for multiple truck 

styles. The chain-driven belt provides a positive drive and keeps the belt tracking straight in line. 

This heavy-duty, self-propelled road widener is designed to handle a variety of widening applications and materials. It is capable of widening 

up to 8 feet with a working depth from 12 inches above grade to 12 inches below grade.

An independent, variable-speed hydraulic dual end-drive system — complete with two high-torque direct-drive motors — powers the 30-inch wide 

conveyor belt at speeds ranging from 0 to 800 fpm. Discharge speed is controlled from the conveyor speed lever on the operator’s console, and 

discharge direction is controlled by a switch on the station. 

The large-capacity receiving hopper has a 9-foot 4-inch opening with a hydraulic dump lip for cleanout after each truck load to help reduce hand 

work. Self-cleaning head, tail, and return pulleys minimize material buildup. 

This heavy-duty, self-propelled road widener is designed to handle a variety of widening applications and materials. It is capable of widening from 

one to 10 feet with a working depth from 12 inches above grade to 12 inches below grade. With the optional long conveyor and weight kit, it can 

widen roads up to 14 feet.

REMOTELY LOCATED OIL COOLER INCREASES 

COOLING CAPACITY 

The hydraulically driven oil cooler is thermostatically 

controlled and reversible for radiator clean-out. 

The remote location isolates the heat from the

STRIKE-OFF TOOLS ADD VERSATILITY,

By using a specific combination of strike-off tools, 

the standard tool package allows for 1- to 10-foot 

widening. The strike-off tools, supports, and 

hydraulic system are designed for use on either 

side of the unit. Tool sections have wedge-type 

quick-latch connectors. The strike-off tools fold to 

allow tool storage within the basic 10-foot 

machine width for transport.

Two bearing-equipped push rollers mounted on 

the 112-inch wide oscillating frame compensate 

for minor direction misalignment of truck with
