Welding Educator’s Workshop<br />

Who’s It For?<br />

This course is geared for welding instructors. It is also open to end<br />

users and distributors who want a comprehensive overview of the<br />

main arc welding processes and update of the latest technologies<br />

in each.<br />

What Is It?<br />

A four and a half day seminar limited to 24 attendees that is<br />

approximately 60% classroom and 40% hands-on.<br />

The course focuses on welding safety and the four basic welding<br />

processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, & FCAW) The objectives are to<br />

improve attendees’ process knowledge and skills both in the<br />

classroom and in the lab, as well as an update on the latest welding<br />

technologies for each process. Emphasis will be placed on <strong>Lincoln</strong><br />

<strong>Electric</strong>’s Nextweld ® advanced technologies. Other topics include<br />

the oxyfuel process, plasma arc cutting, basic metallurgy, and<br />

welding of aluminum and stainless steel.<br />

A breakout session will also be held for all instructors in the class on<br />

why have your own high technology welding training program and on<br />

<strong>Lincoln</strong>’s “No Teacher Left Behind ” educational support program<br />

(including no charge training curriculums, teaching aids, technical<br />

support and product discounts).<br />
