Information of first contact with the enemy or terrain<br />

information vital to a higher headquarters must be transmitted<br />

at once.<br />

b. The squadron staff must ensure that all information of the<br />

enemy <strong>and</strong> terrain is reported to division headquarters, disseminated<br />

to appropriate elements within the squadron, <strong>and</strong> made<br />

available for use in planning squadron operations. Information is<br />

normally reported to division headquarters over the division intelligence<br />

net. It may be reported over the division comm<strong>and</strong> net if<br />

the information is of sufficient importance.<br />

c. Supporting Army aircraft may be used to facilitate the transmission<br />

of information, for radio relay, or to transport messengers,<br />

liaison officers, or other personnel.<br />
