Terms & Conditions for Reservations
Check-in / Check-out
Rooms are available from 2 pm onwards. Check-out time is 12 noon. Your room may be
available for use earlier (or later in the case of check-out). Please contact our Reception
Desk with your request.
The Akari Spa can be used from 10 am onwards on your day of arrival, and for the whole of
your day of departure.
Cancellations
Please advise us as soon as possible if you are unable to honour your reservation. With very
short-term cancellations of up to 3 days before your planned arrival, we will take the
liberty of charging you for the cost of the first night of the arrangement booked, as well as
for those treatments reserved for the first day.
Day Spas can be cancelled by 6 pm one day before arrival without charge.
Treatments booked at the Akari Spa can be cancelled up to 12 hours before the
appointment without penalty, but shorter-term cancellations will be charged.
Any costs resulting from a short-term cancellation will be charged to your credit card.
Appointments for Treatments & Applications
We recommend that you make your appointments in advance to ensure that your selected
treatments are available.
The appointments will be scheduled according to the arrival and departure times indicated
by you. You will receive confirmation in the form of appointment cards upon arrival at our
resort. We regard the arrival and departure times indicated by you as binding. Please
therefore advise us at least one day in advance should your arrival or departure time
change.
Please go to the Spa Reception approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled
appointment, since late arrival will reduce your treatment and relaxation times.
Use of Akari Spa
Use of the Akari Spa and all treatments are at guests’ own risk. If health considerations are
an issue, it is the guest’s responsibility to check with a doctor beforehand.

Children
Children under 3 years of age are not allowed in the Akari Spa. Children from 3-12 years of
age are allowed only in the indoor and outdoor pools from 7 am – 12 noon. Children of 12
years and over may use the indoor and outdoor pools at any time. For safety reasons,
children under 16 years of age are not allowed in the gym or the thermal baths and must
always be accompanied by an adult.
Smoke-free Zones
For health reasons and out of consideration for others, all our bedrooms are non-smoking
areas. Smoking is not allowed in any public room, including both restaurants; except in the
Zanzibar and the Gallery recreation room (subject to statutory modifications).
Vouchers
Please note the advance reservations are required for services covered by vouchers. The
voucher number should be quoted at the time of reservation. Vouchers are valid for 12
months from date of issue. After expiry, vouchers can be used for 50% of their original
value and at current prices. Vouchers expire completely after 18 months from date of issue.
Dogs & other Pets
For reasons of hygiene, dogs and other pets are not allowed anywhere in the hotel.
