Benefits of Alpha Gam membership are endless—from leadership opportunities and scholarship incentives to personal development and, most importantly, sisterhood. Alpha Gamma delta provides its members memories that will last a lifetime and the skills to help them be successful women. Its sisters believe in the importance of contributing to their community and to the world. Alpha Gams grow more and more each year by having a strong bond of sisterhood, trust, and friendship within the chapter, as well as with those outside of Alpha Gamma delta. The sisters are involved in many organizations: ROTC, Panhellenic Council, Virginia Tech Union, Hokie Ambassadors, individual school organizations, and scholastic honors organizations. While they like to have fun, Alpha Gamma delta also values scholastics and education. They place high expectations on all members to do their best with academics, be involved in the chapter and the community, and most importantly, strive to be the best woman they can be!

Members seek the highest ideal of womanhood and try to gain this ideal by cultivating not only the power and passion for seeking intellectual development, but also the spirit of love and charity. It is a group of women who actively contribute to the Greek community at Virginia Tech.
