Fraternal Order of Eagles - Deer Valley

Tournament Committee – Will coordinate the classes of the tournament, the needs
of the players, the scorers and readiness of the pits.
Scorers – Will keep score of the players. Each player will pay the scorer $1 for each
game they score.
Awards Committee – Will purchase trophies/ plaques for winners of each class and
assist with awards ceremony.
Kitchen Committee – Will coordinate supplies for meals and their storage, readiness
of equipment, and cook meals. The committee will consist of servers, cooks, and
cashiers.
Clean-Up Crew – Will wash dishes, take out trash, sweep/mop floor, and clean
equipment after meals. There will be a different clean-up crew assigned to each
meal. When you sign up indicate which day and meal you are available.
Grounds Committee – Will be responsible for clean-up of the grounds, emptying
trash containers, security for the back gate, arranging for port-a-johns and their
supplies, and parking control.
Janitorial Committee – Will help Pearl with cleaning inside the Aerie each morning
and maintaining the bathroom supplies throughout the day.
Welcoming Committee – Will welcome each player, check their registration, sign
them in on our Visitor’s Book, and hand out the player’s packets. The committee will
also put together a booklet of the event and sponsors of the tournament.
Hospitality Committee – Will work with the welcoming committee to take care of
any needs of our guests, answer questions regarding hotels, shopping centers, local
attractions, and the Aerie schedule of meals and entertainment. The committee will
also be responsible for manning portable bar(s) outside.
Marketing Committee – Will recruit sponsors for the tournament, invite all Arizona
Aeries to the event, and sell event T-shirts.
Media/Publicity Committee – Will coordinate information about the tournament to
the State, Grand and Deer Valley websites, and the local newspapers and radio. The
committee will also write an article after the event for the Grand News, assisted by
the Historian Committee.
Pictures/Historian Committee – Will take pictures and record the details of the
tournament on Deer Valley’s website and Facebook page and club monitor.
Stepheny Anderson is this year’s historian, but she will need assistants to “cover all
the bases.”
