BHN Group was founded in 1999 by Capt. Isbah Syed, a Master Mariner and
Mr. Aamir Hashim, a Business graduate.
Its Head office is situated at 5, Apeejay House, 130 Apollo Street, Fort,
Mumbai 400 023, India. All companies Under BHN Group are ISO 9001-2008
Certified by Global Group.
BHN Shipping, one of the Group Company, has obtained DOC from Lloyds for
the Technical Management of its ships. It has tied up with a Maritime Institute
in Singapore to impart high quality training standards to its fleet personal in
meeting the constant demand for upgrading Sea Farers to the latest trends in
Shipping. In its quest to diversify in all marine related trades BHN Group
started a chartering division. The company has also assisted its clients in
acquiring new ships at very competitive prices.
The Group has adopted a policy of maintaining total transparency with its

of vessels ranging from Tankers, Bulk Carriers, Containers, Self Un-loaders,
Dynamic Positioning Vessels, FPSO’s Off Shore, Survey Vessel, Dredgers,
Maintenance and Work Boat. The company has two arms for managing, Main
Fleet vessels and other for its Offshore Vessel’s division.
The Companies progress is attributed to a team of highly dedicated and
trained professionals, consisting of Master Mariners, Chief Engineers and
Management Staff. The team is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing,
training and budgeting as also coordinating repairs and arranging for
Inspections and Surveys of Vessels / Cargoes / Commodities.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT

It is BHN’s technical team, responsible for the smooth functioning of vessels
under BHNSC.
Its responsibilities Includes :
• Undertaking repairs of vessels - In Dry dock and while sailing- done by a
Sailing squad of dedicated and highly trained personal.
• Prepare and oversea Dry-dock Operations.
• Arrange for delivery of Spare Parts any where in the world
• Organize and attend class surveys
• Supply Cleaning Gang for cleaning of Tanks and manual chipping.
• Supply of highly skilled fitters and welders.
• Undertake any type of major and minor repair work.
• Planning and executing the Routine maintenance, voyage repairs
• Plan and Carry out Dry-docking of the vessels at their due dates.
• Liaison with Classification Societies and carry out the surveys for
revalidation of Statutory and trading certificates.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Combine's commercial management service offers a full range of services
from the initial fixture, voyage calculation and post-fixture operation, through to
freight and charter hire collection, accounts control, appointment of agents,
bunkering, Monitoring and servicing the vessel during the sea and port time
,provision of running budgets for the vessels and full running cost accounts
including budget comparisons with comments, balance sheet and profit and
loss statement. Accounts are provided at regular and so many others. An
excellent intelligence network has been established around the world
providing our principals with a competitive edge. Post-fixture work includes
vessel operation, voyage calculation, the calculation and collection of hire and
freight, computations of demurrage/dispatch, correspondence with charterers,
appointment of agents, handling of cargo claims, performance analysis ,
preparing annual and monthly budget plans. The Operations Department is
responsible for expediting and servicing the vessel from the very beginning of
her fixture, through to the final completion of the voyage in conformity with the

The officers and crew are selected on the basis of their competency
experience, good health and on their moral conduct. Under our policies only
such officer /crew who fulfill IMO STCW Criteria are only eligible to apply.
We have database of professional Seafarers, from which we select
appropriate candidates as per requirement of our Principle Owners. The bio
data of candidates are thoroughly screened by checking past employment
reference, we also check their Competency Certificates and STCW courses.
We scrutinize bio data and then we forward same to our Principle Owners for

to Complete Their Educational training in Singapore / Thailand and Dubai.
In Singapore BHN has tied up with STET, one of the Marine Institute of
Singapore to select student for Deck Cadets / Graduate Marine Engineers on
STET behalf.
In Thailand BHN has tied up with Barter Institute, one of the reputed Marine
Institute of Thailand to select student for Deck Cadets on their behalf.
In Dubai BHN has been tied up with Zambezi College, one of the Shipping
Company’s having its own training institute, to select students for Deck Cadets
on their behalf.

DP Simulator Course
BHN pleased to announced opening of state of
the art DP training Centre in joint venture with
one of the well known and reputed Marine
Training institute at Mumbai. Presently we have
installed “Kongsberg KPOS” DP Simulator.
Training objectives
BHN Group of Companies
Operator errors during DP operations may lead
to expensive downtime, or even worse;
accidents or incidents resulting in damage,
pollution, personnel injuries or fatalities. This implies the need for a
comprehensive training programme for key DP personnel along with accurate
and realistic trainer systems. The Kongsberg DP - Basic Trainer is used
throughout the basic and general training of DP operators.
Equipment and Configuration
The training is performed at Desktop Operator Stations which comprise an
operator panel connected to a standard Personal Computer. A typical
configuration can be a number of Desktop Operator Stations arranged in a
classroom setting with an instructor station. By means of a video switch and a
projector, the instructor can show both his own and the student DP display on
a video projector for assessment. All Stations normally simulate he same
vessel and DP system configuration, but operate independently of each other.
For maintenance purpose, all Personal Computers will be connected via a
Local Area Network.
Instructor stations
To setup and control a DP scenario on the Basic Trainer, the instructor has a
user-friendly operator station. From his position he can control the various DP
vessels, prepare the vessel conditions, sensor and power settings and
introduce different type of environment conditions like; wind, waves, current to
make the exercise as realistic as possible. To train critical operations the
instructor can introduce different levels of faults on ship systems, power
systems and thrusters as well as sensor system with noise and abnormal
conditions.

Capt. Isbah Syed has spent more than 15 years in the Shipping Industry. He
has sailed on board one of the largest tankers and
has a wide experience of working on Chemical
and Oil tankers as well as Bulk and Container
ships.
He has held various posts in major shipping
companies before establishing BHN Group.
Capt Syed is among the few mariners to hold a
Law degree and has participated in major
arbitration cases.
He is a member of the Central Advisory Board to shipping and marine world
expo and also a guest lecturer in a number of prestigious Maritime Institutes.
Under his leadership the company has successfully managed the commercial,
technical and personnel aspects of ship management. He was instrumental in
getting highly experienced professional’s into the BHN Group.
