7 Taking into operation
Before the Digistrob RDS 30 is connected to the mains, we recommend the following
procedure:
• Connect hand lamp
• Check that the correct range has been set at the control elements at the front and that
not several keys have been depressed simultaneously.
Recommended adjustment: display rpm 2 or Hz 3 internal triggering 14.
• At the mode selector (24) at the back, place all switches in the upward position in
order to avoid having activated any unwanted special functions
• Make sure that the mains connection is in accordance with the data given on the
apparatus (230V / 50 - 60Hz)
Now the apparatus can be connected to the power outlet and can be switched on with the
power switch 1. In this setting the display 6 will light up after a short interval. Now the
frequency can be changed with the double control knob 16 and the display and function of
the apparatus can be tested. By switching on the hand lamp switch 17 also the function of the
hand lamp can be tested. The flash light stroboscope Digistrob RDS 30 is now ready for
operation. The required working range and the special functions can now be adjusted for the
required application.
ATTENTION!
NEVER DISCONNECT THE HAND LAMP DURING OPERATION.
This could cause damage to the electronics!
