Director: (Beth)
- Will be meeting with Laura and Alden to discuss design elements.
- Casting will be broken down as following:

- Auditions:
o Tuesday January 29
Movement exercises, 7-9 people in 30 minute blocks
o Wednesday January 30
Callbacks
Read sides and individual work, 10 minute blocks
o Brian and Beth will be having a phone meeting to talk about auditions.
- Thinking a tap battle between Piero and Lydia.
- During “You Don’t Own Me” have arm choreography that leads more into a dance.
o In the style of “Midnight Train to Georgia” sung by Gladys Night and the Pips.
- Imagines the wedding as the destruction of civilization
o Set to collapse
o Destructive ending
- Would like to add wind to the helicopter scene.
- Lit lanterns and/or candles everywhere during the wedding.
- Andrew will be in charge of looking up pronunciations to words in the script.
Scenery
Designer: (Laura)
- Preliminary ground plan and drawing are due at the next production meeting.
- For inspiration, Beth suggested to look at the Delano Hotel in South Beach
o Scale, playfulness, wealth and classic look
- Laura like the idea of the whole set being black, white and gray tones.
- Laura showed a slide show of some of the pictures she took in Italy.
- Scott suggested looking up the Broadway show Chaplin to see how they achieved a black and
white set.
Technical Director: (Brandon)
- Brandon Bankes will be our technical director.

Props (Laura & Mandy)
- Beth would like multiple pieces for luggage.
o Able to be sit on
o Match set
o Girly
o 1950’s
- Mandy would like Laura and Beth to talk about what can be done onstage and what can be done off
stage pertaining to extreme staging.
- Beth would like to have a discussion on the saw blades. She would like real saw blades being
thrown.
- Mandy will be asking another school about how they did the throwing of the plates.
Costumes: (Joe)
- Costume sketches are due at the next production meeting.
- Beth would like to discuss nudity with Lydia at the top of the show.
- Beth would like to discuss having butcher knives in the wedding dresses.
Lighting: (Mandy)
- No notes, thank you.
Sound: (Alden)
- No notes, thank you.
Movement (Walter)
- Beth would like Walter to collaborate on movement where “people could get hurt.”
o Pages 34-36, 54-59, and wedding
Stage Management: (Scott)
- Will make sure that everyone has access to the Google docs.
