Our Style 1 Tricone
shares many
of its’ features
with the original
National Tricone
created by the
Dopyera brothers
in the late 1920’s.
The brass body
is polished to a
mirror-like shine
and nickel plated.
The mahogany
neck, finished in
a rich mahogany
burst, has an ivoroid
bound ebony
fingerboard. The
vintage-style tuning
machines sit
on a traditional
slotted headstock,
complete with our
distinctive National
shield decal.

Triolian SingleCone SingleCone Style O
Style “O”
Introduced in 2009, our new Triolian is a reissue of
an early 1930’s W-Series Triolian. The thin-gauge
steel body is highlighted with a formed back, and
traditional sieve-hole coverplate. Each body is
hand painted in walnut-burst to capture the look
of the originals. The maple neck clears 12 frets to
the body and features an ivoroid-bound rosewood

Revolver Finish
The ResoRocket is one of
our newly designed single
resonator guitars. This
model incorporates a redesigned
coverplate pattern
to complement the distinctive
Tricone-style grill
work. The upper bout has
been modified for easier
access to the higher frets.
This brass body guitar is
highly polished and bright
nickel plated. The maple
neck has an engraved
pearloid headstock overlay
and mother-of-pearl diamond
position markers.

Sunburst Finish
Our Resolectric has
gone through a few
changes in its 19 years
of production. The
current model uses
an audiophile-quality
Highlander preamp
to mix both the magnetic
and piezo electric
pickups. A Jason
Lollar P-90 pickup sits
in the neck position,
and a Highlander piezo
transducer is fitted
under the saddle.
The output of each
pickup is controlled
by independent volume
knobs, with a
master volume knob
to control the instrument’s
overall output
level. A 3-way toggle
switch selects which
pickups are active.
The solid mahogany
body is capped with
a figured maple top
bound in ivoroid.
The figured maple
neck clears 14
frets to the body,
highlighted with
a diamond inlaid,
rosewood fretboard.

a formed back, and
period-correct,
traditional non-ribbed
coverplate. Each
body is hand painted
to capture the look

features an unbound
ebony fretboard
complete with motherof-pearl
position
markers. Vintage-style
plain tuners, ebony nut,
and “National” stamped
headstock complete

nearly 3.3 lbs. lighter
than its metal-body
counterpart, this
instrument features
laminated mahogany
body construction,
highlighted by a sturdy
wood soundwell and
hand-painted steel
cover- plate. The
new M-1 combines
the unmistakable
sound of a Tricone
with the warmth of a
wood-body. Outfitted
with our new-alloy
cones and aluminum
T-bridge, we believe
this instrument to be

Designed in
collaboration with
Mike Dowling, this
single cone guitar is
patterned after the
famous El Trovador
produced from 1932-
1933. Similar to its
predecessor, our
El Trovador guitar
features a large, 4”
deep body constructed
of mahogany. The
body is bound in
multilayer celluloid,
with a matching
purfling border around
the coverplate. A
wood soundwell
houses the
resonator. An ebony
fretboard is mated
to a solid mahogany
neck, capped with a
rosewood headstock
overlay. The El
Trovador’s deep,
unique voice has
made it our most
popular guitar in
recent years.

This is our classic, steel body guitar
with a modern crystalline lacquer
finish that replicates the “frosted
Duco” used on Nationals from the
1930s. It is a traditional
nitrocellulose material and has
the same basic characteristics as
the nitrocellulose finishes used
on fine wooden instruments.
Irregularities in the surface are
sometimes present
due to the additives
that form the crystals.
These finishes will
amber with age. It
will also exhibit wear
when confronted
with metal finger
picks and metal slides.
So, treat this guitar
with the same care
that you would a fine
instrument finished in
nitrocellulose lacquer.

The Estralita Deluxe, developed
in 2001, is constructed
of walnut back
and sides, figured maple
laminate top triple bound
with ivoroid/black/
ivoroid. The walnut neck
features an ivoroid bound
rosewood fingerboard
with mother-of-pearl
diamond inlays. The slotted
headstock is overlaid
with white pearloid and
engraved with the National
logo. Tuners are
vintage-style engraved,
open gear.

Our new mandolin spent two years in R&D before finally making it into production in January
of 2005. It has traditional features such as a biscuit bridge and vintage-style open gear tuners,
combined with modern appointments, including an intonated saddle and a comfortably radiused,
extended fretboard. The neck is made from highly figured maple. The body is carved from twopiece
walnut, with a figured maple top. The Art-Deco cast tailpiece and antique brass parts are
