• Graphic In line presses are almost
exclusively printing UV ink today.
• UV ink can be cured in line with a
separate UV lamp positioned after
each print head.
• The print is completely dry after the
last print since it cures immediately
after passing below a UV light
source.
• Ink film thickness is a critical part of
graphic printing.
• Specific ink thicknesses are
needed in order to cure completely.
• Most large volume movie posters
and POP displays are printed by
screen rather than by digital due to
production cost advantages.
• Print speeds of 300-500 per hour
are typical.
