Textile Presses
• Circular “carousel” presses are the
press of choice for most textile
printers.
• Most printers use four “heads” for
flashing the base with a cool down
station, and flash the print just
before the keyline print, or high
light white.
• This will effectively eliminate four
colors from a twelve color press.
• 12-18 color presses are common in
fashion imprinting.
• Athletic printers can use 6-8 color
presses since most designs are 2-3
colors. It is not uncommon for
athletic printers to use two flashes
as well resulting in only a few
colors being printed.
