WP 4.3 Flat Plate Concentrators (FPC) stability testing in 470 nm high intensity LED light
The 5 x 5 cm sized flat plate concentrator (FPC) samples received from ECN, 740C, 742C, 747C and
749C were fitted with high efficiency Si-solar cell of 5 x 50 mm size. The sample 74C (yellow colored)
was kept in the dark as reference. The 3 other samples were exposed to blue LED intense monochromatic
light for over 700 hr, the short-circuit photocurrent of the attached Si-cell, the UV-VIS spectra, the
fluorescence (normalized) and the external quantum efficiency were measured periodically over time.
For the sample 740C, UV-VIS spectra were only acquired at start of the experience, as this plate was
fitted with mirrors on all sides later on for the rest of the time in the LED lamp.
