Environmental Consequences Calculations were performed using EPA-approved emission factors and conservative assumptions. Similar to the Proposed Action, there would be beneficial impacts on regional air quality as a result of the operation of the wind turbine and solar panels, which are fossil fuel-free power sources. Based on the quantification of criteria pollutant emissions (see Table 23), these emissions would not likely have an impact on the area’s compliance with the NAAQS. GHG emissions would be minimal compared to the reduction that would be achieved by using the alternative energy sources.
