You <strong>can</strong> receive a jaffa,<br />
but it’s not an orange.<br />
You <strong>can</strong> be plum,<br />
but it’s not a fruit.<br />
You <strong>can</strong> have flannels,<br />
but you don’t wash with <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
Do you associate <strong>the</strong>se words with sport?<br />
You should because it’s my sport!<br />
If you’re <strong>the</strong> skipper, you have an attack at your d<strong>is</strong>posal,<br />
trying to beat <strong>the</strong>m with bite, and gain a duck.<br />
Chinamans with flight,<br />
and maidens all thrown in.<br />
Whilst in <strong>the</strong> field, sillies and cow corners<br />
are ready to defend.<br />
On <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r side<br />
cherries and gardening are good.<br />
Two arms in <strong>the</strong> air are gratefully received,<br />
but just one finger means <strong>the</strong> end.<br />
For me it all makes sense.<br />
