loving animosity<br />
solemn humour<br />
The lie underneath your eyes<br />
telling me not to cry<br />
you pulled me close and held me tight<br />
telling me I’m <strong>the</strong> rose that shines at night<br />
A prom<strong>is</strong>e that becomes an escape<br />
a ring with phosphorescence<br />
<strong>the</strong> phosphorescence that rings around my finger<br />
turned Cinderella into a princess in white<br />
Why?<br />
why?<br />
an eternal lie...<br />
Leaving me alone,<br />
standing at <strong>the</strong> centre of <strong>the</strong> centre,<br />
in <strong>the</strong> middle<br />
of <strong>the</strong> galilee, <strong>the</strong> wedding chamber,<br />
in <strong>the</strong> middle<br />
of <strong>the</strong> dreadful world.<br />
I had never noticed that <strong>the</strong> gleam was not phosphorescence.<br />
Instead<br />
it <strong>is</strong> fluorescence.<br />
