Miniature transfer molded hybrid ICs and 3-phase motor driver inverter power ICs<br />

Applications<br />

These devices combine 3-phase inverter power output stage, predriver circuit, bootstrap circuit,<br />

and protection circuits in a single package.<br />

SANYO has developed three types of pin-compatible miniature transfer molded packages (SIP1,<br />

SIP2, and SIP3) for both 3-phase shunt and single-phase shunt current control types separately<br />

with 6 to 20 A output ratings.<br />

These products can contribute to miniaturization, reduced parts counts, and improved reliability<br />

in air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, and other home appliances.<br />

Functions and Features<br />

Built-in bootstrap diode<br />

Built-in thermistor supports temperature monitoring<br />

Predriver supply voltage undervoltage protection circuit<br />

Short-circuit protection circuit protects against shorts when<br />

the high and low side input phases are both on.<br />

Overcurrent protection circuit (STK621-XXX series)<br />

Built-in current detection resistor (STK621-XXX series)<br />

Insulation breakdown voltage: 2 kV rms guaranteed<br />

(50 Hz, 1 minute)<br />
