there are two beautiful<br />

At Bebington<br />

old chalices of nearly identical design,<br />

though one is very much larger than the<br />

other. The bigger of the two bears the<br />

date 1737, and the inscription :—<br />

The smaller is believed to be the older.<br />

It bears no date or names, but on the<br />

bowl is engraved the monogram I.H.S.<br />

within a radiating sun.<br />

At Woodchurch is a fine old silver<br />

chalice<br />

rim :<br />

with the inscription round the<br />

"<br />

tCfje Communion Cup of ?E2ioolicf)urcf)e,<br />

?S!Killiam |!^all stomas; Couentrte<br />

Cturcfttoarlienfi 1625."<br />

Lastly in the Parish of Overchurch,<br />

usually known as Upton, there is in the<br />

present church the chalice that came from<br />

the old Norman building that stood near<br />

the Upton Moreton road, an account of<br />

which has already been given in the<br />

cup was presented apparently by the<br />

second son of Peter Bold of Upton, who<br />
