The <strong>Coffe</strong>e Plantati<strong>on</strong> Development Enterprise (CPDE) manages three state farms’<br />

sets in <strong>Limu</strong>, Tepi and Bebeka. Those mainly produce <strong>coffee</strong> but also maize, fruits (pineapple,<br />

mango, avocado), h<strong>on</strong>ey 93<br />

and fatten oxen. <strong>Limu</strong> state farms are Suntu, Kossa, Gumer,<br />

Cheleleki, Goma 1 and Goma 2. <strong>Limu</strong> Kosa woreda shelters the three first of those whereas<br />

Cheleleki state farm is found in Chore Botor woreda.<br />

Moreover, farm No. 3 of Suntu state farm and farm No. 6 of Goma 1 state farm are<br />

organic farms. In Suntu state farm, that represents 9.75% (123.92 ha) of all productive area<br />

(1270.36 ha) in 2001 EC. <strong>Limu</strong> <strong>Coffe</strong>e Plantati<strong>on</strong> officer: “We use compost and organic<br />

fertilizers “ORGA” produced in Addis. But yields are smaller because we can’t use chemical<br />
