gradually glimmering forth and becoming very bright.<br />

Tried Dhâranâ on Nose as Ida was stopped up. Eyes<br />

watered, and <strong>the</strong> breathing was difficult, could not concentrate.<br />

Prânâyâma. Twenty-two minutes 10. 20. 30. Could haveg<br />

gone on.<br />

Prânâyâma very difficult.<br />

Dhâranâ on nose nine minutes. <strong>The</strong> nose is perhaps my<br />

least sensitive organ. Would I do better to try my tongue?<br />

Dhâranâ, four minutes on tip of tongue. Burning feeling as<br />

usual. Can feel every tooth as if each had become a conscious<br />

being.<br />

Prânâyâma. Broke down badly on second Rechaka of 30.<br />

15. 60. I will do this, and often.<br />

Prânâyâma. Ten minutes 10. 20. 30.<br />

Dhâranâ on nose seven minutes.<br />

One Grand Prânâyâma. 30. 15. 60.<br />

[N.B. for Prânâyâma be fresh, cool, not excited, not sleepy,<br />

not full of food, not ready to urinate or defæcate.]<br />

Grand Prânâyâma. 30. 15. 60. very difficult.<br />

alarum going off—ra<strong>the</strong>r a shock—did not know where I was<br />

for a bit.<br />
