(5] The said nuns <strong>of</strong> Brewood (Brewode) should be<br />

obliged <strong>to</strong> pay <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> said William and his<br />

successors in <strong>the</strong> vicarage <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> church <strong>of</strong><br />

Tibshelf, for <strong>the</strong> time that <strong>the</strong>y are, 40s. from<br />

<strong>the</strong> fruits <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> same church in equal portions at<br />

two terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> year, namely on <strong>the</strong> feast <strong>of</strong><br />

Michaelmas [29 September] and on <strong>the</strong> feast <strong>of</strong><br />

Easter, beginning on <strong>the</strong> feast <strong>of</strong> Michaelmas next.<br />

And if it should happen that <strong>the</strong> same cease <strong>to</strong> pay<br />

<strong>the</strong> pension at <strong>the</strong>se terms, <strong>the</strong> bp., and each <strong>of</strong><br />

his successors, his <strong>of</strong>ficials <strong>of</strong> Lichfield and he<br />

<strong>to</strong> whom or [those] <strong>to</strong> whom <strong>the</strong> cus<strong>to</strong>dy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

spiritualities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> vacant see <strong>of</strong> Coventry and<br />

Lichfield will pertain, will be able <strong>to</strong> compel <strong>the</strong><br />

religious <strong>by</strong> ecclesiastical censure and <strong>by</strong><br />

sequestration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> fruits <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> church <strong>of</strong><br />

Tibshelf.<br />

[6] William and his successors in <strong>the</strong> vicarage<br />

will support <strong>the</strong> burden <strong>of</strong> procurations and o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

ordinary burdens belonging <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> bp. and <strong>to</strong> his<br />

successors or <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> archdeacons <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> place.<br />

However, <strong>the</strong> said religious are obliged <strong>to</strong> sustain<br />

wholly <strong>the</strong> extraordinary burdens <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> same<br />

church.<br />
