life from <strong>the</strong> bp. and his successors freely,<br />

quietly, well and in peace, rendering <strong>the</strong>reafter<br />

annually <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> bp. and his successors 30s. <strong>of</strong><br />

silver at <strong>the</strong> usual four terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> year in his<br />

manor <strong>of</strong> Longdon (Longedon) for all secular<br />

service exacted and claimed. After <strong>the</strong> death <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> aforesaid William <strong>the</strong> 60 acres with<br />

appurtenances wholly should pass <strong>to</strong> (Fo. 51) John<br />

Mauclerk <strong>of</strong> Leicester (Leycestr') for <strong>the</strong> term <strong>of</strong><br />

his life <strong>by</strong> <strong>the</strong> aforesaid service freely, quietly,<br />

well and in peace. After <strong>the</strong> death <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> same<br />

John <strong>the</strong> aforesaid tenement with appurtenances<br />

wholly should pass <strong>to</strong> William son <strong>of</strong> William de<br />

Schul<strong>to</strong>n, <strong>to</strong> have and <strong>to</strong> hold <strong>to</strong> him and his<br />

lawfully begotten heirs from <strong>the</strong> bp. and his<br />

successors <strong>by</strong> <strong>the</strong> aforesaid service freely,<br />

quietly, well and in peace. And if <strong>the</strong> aforesaid<br />

William should die without an heir, <strong>the</strong> aforesaid<br />

tenement with appurtenances wholly should pass <strong>to</strong><br />

Henry son <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> same William, <strong>to</strong> have and <strong>to</strong> hold<br />

<strong>to</strong> him and his lawfully begotten heirs from <strong>the</strong><br />
