presented <strong>by</strong> prior and cony. <strong>of</strong> Worksop (Wyrsop),<br />

York dioc., provided that <strong>the</strong> inquiry <strong>to</strong> be made<br />

concerning <strong>the</strong> vacancy will not oppose <strong>the</strong><br />

presenting or <strong>the</strong> presentee, and <strong>to</strong> make all and<br />

each which are required for, and concerning, <strong>the</strong><br />

premisses.<br />

1. This letter should have been entered in a Der<strong>by</strong><br />

archdeaconry section <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> register. The date vi<br />

idus Novembris anno Domini supradic<strong>to</strong>, cannot<br />

refer <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> year 1315 as Lang<strong>to</strong>n was at<br />

Eccleshall on 7 November 1315, no. 769, and could<br />

not have travelled <strong>to</strong> Penwortham, Lancs., in one<br />

day.<br />
