Longedon, monk <strong>of</strong> Bur<strong>to</strong>n on Trent (Bur<strong>to</strong>n super<br />

Trente), <strong>the</strong> headship (regimen) <strong>of</strong> Tutbury<br />

(Tutebur') priory and canonically appoints him as<br />

prior with <strong>the</strong> rights etc., vac. <strong>by</strong> lapse <strong>of</strong> timet<br />

because no one was presented <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> bp. or his<br />

vicar-general after <strong>the</strong> death <strong>of</strong> Br. Walter, <strong>the</strong><br />

former prior. On <strong>the</strong> morrow, Sunday (21 July], he<br />

was honourably installed as prior <strong>by</strong> John de<br />

Sutham, a magnate, rec<strong>to</strong>r <strong>of</strong> church <strong>of</strong> Mor<strong>to</strong>n,<br />

being assisted <strong>by</strong> a multitude, <strong>by</strong> authority <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

vicar-general.<br />
