THE SUMMER PROGRAMME ORGANISER'S REPOtrTT Once again the programme was both interesting and varied. Thc weather was not "100 per cent" kind to us, lcaving us with some very r,ver walkcrs on three occasions. A sprecial walk, "Listening to the Nightjar", lvirs also rained oft, much tc fhc disappoinrrnent of members. Attendance has caused somc conccnl and there was a suggestion to reduce the numbcr of r,r'alks. Afrer discussicn in committec ir was decideri that the nurnber of walks shoutrd remain unchangerJ. I *'ish to express my thanks to the leaders for the input they have extended to the programme. 'Wittrout thcm wer could not carry on. All that is left fol me is to appeal to our waikers - "{Jse it or we lose it". LAURA SN'{ITH
