Joseph : Lolo, please accept our pasalubong for you.<br />

Hones<strong>to</strong> : Thank you, Joseph.<br />

Joseph : Please open it!<br />

Concha : Well, what are we waiting for? Come, everybody! Let’s all eat<br />

first.<br />

Joseph : Lola, here’s our pasalubong for you!<br />

Concha : Oh, thank you, Joseph. Thank you very much. I thought we<br />

would still <strong>be</strong> going <strong>to</strong> the Duty Free Shop <strong>to</strong> buy your<br />

pasalubong for me. But here, you already have a pasalubong<br />

for me.<br />

Domeng : Yes, Inay. We’re still going <strong>to</strong> the Duty Free Shop, this<br />

afternoon. We’ll still buy additional pasalubong for you.<br />

Hones<strong>to</strong> : And, whatever for? This is already enough, my son.<br />

Concha : And this is very <strong>be</strong>autiful! Now, I have a new sweater, Hones<strong>to</strong>!<br />

Hones<strong>to</strong> : This is enough for me, <strong>to</strong>o, Domeng. This is just right for the<br />

cold weather.<br />

Joseph : We are happy, Lolo and Lola, that you like what we have brought<br />

for you. And for you, Kuya Arvin, this is for you.<br />

Arvin : Thank you, Joseph for remem<strong>be</strong>ring me.<br />

Joseph : Of course! How can we not remem<strong>be</strong>r you, Kuya? Lola and<br />

Lolo are always mentioning your name in their letters and in<br />

their telephone calls.<br />

Arvin : Really? What are they saying about me?<br />

Joseph : That you’re o<strong>be</strong>dient and industrious, like me. Ha! Ha! Ha! Open<br />

your pasalubong now, Kuya. I hope you’ll like it!<br />

Arvin : Wow! A new shirt and pants! Thank you, Joseph. Thank you,<br />

Uncle Domeng.<br />

Concha : Okay. May<strong>be</strong> we’ll just continue with our conversation over<br />

dinner.<br />
