The New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a statewide
membership organization whose mission is to prevent and eliminate
domestic violence. The Coalition publishes a directory of domestic violence
service providers located throughout New York State, which includes
information on the availability of services to immigrants, as well as contact
information for New York State government services.

AILA is a membership organization for attorneys practicing immigration
law. Member services include access to an extensive database on a range of
immigration subjects, including VAWA and asylum, and links to a number
of other organizations that serve immigrants. In addition, AILA maintains a
list of mentor attorneys, who offer technical guidance to less experienced
attorneys at no charge.

Amnesty International is a human rights advocacy organization that maintains
extensive background material to assist in the documentation of asylum
claims. It hosts an on-line library with information on country conditions,
including gender-based issues, free of charge. Amnesty International also
issues an annual report on human rights conditions in over 150 countries,
excerpts of which are frequently included in asylum applications.
