CHAPTER LXVII.<br />

Know that it is an evil and a bitter thing for thee, to have left<br />

the Lord thy God.-Jer. 8, 19.<br />

HE Lord censed not to send to the Ismlitce hoIy pro-<br />

their wickedness increased to such an extent thnt the Almighty<br />

resolved to punish them in His .wrath, slid utterly<br />

siege to the strong city of Samaria, and aftcr three years took<br />
