Guru, who has obtained Krishna Deeksha and<br />
adorns a Tulasi-rosary :<br />
The vaidik authority for the procedure of<br />
wearing the two-line rosary:-<br />
{¢Ú‡¢è²¢ ÜU‡ÆÎïà¢ï ¼éH„èÜU¢D}¢¢çHÜUï J<br />
±ñc‡¢±ïÝ ç±à¢ï¯ï‡¢ |¢x¢±yÐíèç¼±{èüÝè JJ<br />
(Dhãrañiyã kanthadeshe tulasikãshth mãlike.<br />
Vaishñavena vishesheña bhagvat preetivardhani.)<br />
“In the Skanda Puranam” -<br />
Devotees of Lord Vishnu shall wear a<br />
double strandered rosary around their neck, made<br />
of tulasi this is because Tulasi is divinely bound<br />
with Lord Vishnu.<br />
It is said in Agama authoritative <strong>religious</strong><br />
texts; as follows:<br />
²¿¢¢ïб輱h¢²¢ü ¼éH„èÜU¢D}¢¢çHÜU¢ §ç¼ J<br />
(Yagnopavitvatdhãryã tulsikãshth mãlikaiti.)<br />
The sacred thread i.e, Yagnopvita, shall<br />
not be removed at any time, and in any kind of<br />
circumstances. Likewise the rosary of Tulasi must<br />
always be worn around neck but not be removed<br />
under any circumstances.<br />
